● Can take a ‘Virtual Consultation’ with a sales agent in the virtual world (some like to call it Metaverse)
The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer fresher with a passion for the automotive industry to join Eccentric team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of 3D models of cars and variants throughout the development lifecycle. You will leverage your knowledge of automotive design and engineering principles to perform comprehensive 3D QA checks and collaborate with the 3D team to deliver high-quality assets.
Responsibilities:
- Car and Variant Expertise:
- Gain a deep understanding of car models, variants, features, accessories, and colors.
- Analyze project requirements and identify dependencies related to car specifications.
- Become familiar with brand-specific design elements and guidelines.
- Documentation and Reference Management:
- Collaborate with 3D Solution Architects to create and maintain model master sheets, including CAD reports, variant differences, features and accessories lists, and color mappings.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure all model-related references are readily available for artists.
- 3D Quality Assurance:
- Perform thorough 3D model reviews using internal checklists focusing on product accuracy, deliverables adherence, quality aspects (texture issues, scaling errors), and brand compliance.
- Identify and report bugs through well-defined JIRA tasks with detailed information.
- Follow up on bug fixes and ensure resolution within timelines.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain regular communication with 3D leads to ensure model development aligns with client expectations and references.
- Work effectively with the 3D team and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain and update existing QA checklists for product accuracy, quality, and brand compliance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes to improve 3D quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (freshers preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive design principles and engineering concepts
- Keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software is a plus (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks)
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
